Agape Birth Services Doula Mentoring Program
For New and/or Training Doulas
When I began my own doula journey, I felt overwhelmed with all that I had yet to learn and how to get started with my business. It is my desire to mentor new doulas as they begin their own journeys.
The mission of the Agape Birth Services Doula Mentoring Program is to provide guidance and mentorship to new and/or training doulas to help them grow and develop their own birth doula business and provide outstanding birth doula services in our community. The goal of this program is to provide assistance to new and/or training doulas in navigating the certification process, and to offer guidance in growing their business, gaining clients, developing the structure of client meetings and appropriate paperwork and handouts, building a doula bag, working cooperatively with health professionals, strengthening their skill set, developing their birth philosophy, practicing with professionalism and integrity and offering honest feedback to facilitate learning from their experiences and improving their doula services. The mentoring program includes: *Shadowing me in one interview, two prenatal meetings, one birth, and one postpartum visit. *Folder containing a hard copy of some of my client paperwork and handouts to help you get started in creating your own. *Access to my lending library. *One in-person coaching/mentoring session with me. *Phone/text/email support as you take on your first solo client and work through the certification requirements. Requirements for participating in the doula mentoring program: *Enrollment in a doula certification program. *Membership in the Omaha Doulas Association (www.omahadoulas.com) *Commitment and ability to attend all meetings and the birth included in the program. *Willingness to learn and accept feedback. This jumpstart into launching your own successful doula business is available for the investment of $300 paid to Agape Birth Services. |
